Hello!
I am Dr. Stuart Kushner. I have been living and working in Israel since 2016, and now I am employed at the Maale HaCarmel Mental Health Medical Center. Until 2022, I also worked at the Rambam Medical Center for Human Health, where I gained extensive experience in the mental health outpatient clinic. As part of my work , I treat patients from a variety of fields, including the psycho-geriatric clinic and patients coming from the Ministry of Defense.
Training and experience:
In addition to my training as a psychiatrist, I am certified in the EMDR method - dulling and reprocessing through eye movements, which is a well-known and effective method for treating patients dealing with post-trauma.
Professional training:
Before my move to Israel, I worked for about 10 years at the international company Johnson & Johnson in New Jersey, where I focused on research and development of drugs for psychiatric and neurological uses. I bring this experience and knowledge to the clinic, with the aim of providing high-quality and advanced treatment.
Languages:
I speak and perform treatment in Hebrew and English, and undertake to provide each patient with the necessary support and understanding in the language in which he feels comfortable.

SUMMARY OF PAST EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Undergraduate and medical school at Pennsylvania State College and Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia PA (1971- 1976).
- Internship at NYU Medical Center followed by 3 year residency in neurology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
- Moved for the first time to Israel in 1980, completed residency in psychiatry at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem.
- Returned to the U.S. in 1985 and completed a psychopharmacology fellowship at Einstein Medical Center in Bronx, New York.
- Subsequently was in private practice in New Jersey in adult and geriatric psychiatry, while also consulting at several nursing homes and senior assisted living facilities.
- I am triple boarded in neurology psychiatry, and geriatric psychiatry.
